Class Descriptions
Pilates A mat based mind body class, focusing on core stability muscles and posture. Pilates aims to lengthen and strengthen muscles along with increasing overall flexibility and mobility of joints. The exercises are performed in a slow controlled manner where quality of movement is key.
Chi Ball Pilates With a similar structure to the mat based Pilates the use of the Chi Ball focuses on many weak or inactive core stability muscles. These muscles are generally overlooked and the cause of imbalance and injuries to the body.
Abs Blast Exactly that! A 20 minute abdominal class focusing greatly on the key abdominal muscles which hold the abs flat and of course that six pack!
Body Conditioning A full body toning class. The class starts with a simple warm-up and then targets all your muscle groups to give the whole body a leaner look.
LBT AKA legs, bums and tums. A toning class focused on all these key areas. A class designed to really make you think and switch on your muscles properly.
Aerobics A high/low impact class where you can work at a level right for you. Choreographed routines that are easy to follow, improving your cardio vascular system. In other words, you will work up a sweat!
Workout This is a 30 minute aerobic class and a 30 minute body conditioning class. A great class that gets your heart rate up and tones your whole body and leaves you wanting more.
Hatha Yoga One of the better known of the Yoga's practised in the West. Hatha means sun (ha) and moon (tha). Practising this type of yoga prepares the mind for meditation; helps bring the body back to its natural balanced self. With a combination of breathing techniques and postures, Hatha Yoga helps restore the body's physical and mental wellbeing.
Bodymax A non-impact, high-intensity workout. Based on muscular strength, tone and definition. This is an ideal class for men and women.
Circuits A cardio/toning class where you can work to your own level of ability. A fun class that requires no coordination! You will work around the circuit, challenging your whole body, whilst having fun with fellow members and staff! Studio Cycling A cardio vascular indoor cycling class working with your heart rate. By wearing a heart rate monitor you will be able to keep your personal heart rate level to work aerobically and burn fat whilst improving your fitness level.
Box-a-cise A circuit style class incorporating boxing moves. A more intense session designed to challenge your fitness and improve all over body tone.
