mervynbarker.jpgWhat were your reasons for joining the Woodlands?
I was very overweight and getting very little exercise. I also wanted to get my asthma under control.

What lifestyle changes have you made?
With the aid of the Woodlands Waistline Plan I now eat a diet that is lower in fat and I have also reduced my alcohol intake. I exercise very regularly, and go on activity holidays, too.

What results have you achieved?
All round better health! My blood pressure is under control, as is my asthma. I’ve lost four stone, and I am now a fully qualified fitness instructor.

How has Woodlands helped you achieve your goals?
The staff at the Woodlands gave me guidance, advice and encouragement. They give continual motivation, and also inspired me to study for my gym instructor qualification.
