Weight Management Course
Our new weight management course is a group session that runs over six weeks. Each week we'll meet for a weigh in, collect food diaries (click here to download and print), issue handouts and recipe of the week, discuss that weeks topic; goal setting and view the success chart!

Week 1 • Introduction • Measurements, body stat/cholesterol/glucose offer • Metabolic rate – snack ideas, hydration levels
• Success chart – 500 cal deficit. Allowing rewards/treats • Goal setting/topic ideas • Handout: 500 cal deficit, snack ideas
Week 2 • Food labels and how to read them • Goals/rewards – 15% discount on ‘Pure’ back massage • Handout: Example food labels and what to look out for
Week 3 • Fats, Carbs, Proteins • Understanding energy • Handout: Calorie chart and energy expenditure
Week 4 • Activity – out for a walk (500cal deficit)
• New class • 3 x gym sessions per week • Resistance training to increase metabolic rate • Tricks to increase energy levels – members to suggest ideas • Handout: Increasing energy levels (eg. stairs instead of lift)
Week 5 • Taster session!! • Hydration levels, caffeine and alcohol intake • Sugars and refined foods • Handout: Food alternatives, optimum water intake
Week 6 • Summary
• Success story • Measurements, body stat • Handout: Success story, tips for continued success
